Adulting 101 captures the bittersweet tension between childhood nostalgia and the realities of growing up. In a cozy, brightly colored bedroom, familiar companions — Stitch, Scrump, and the comfort of storybooks — sit alongside symbols of adulthood: a record player spinning vinyl and the figure of Lilo now older, lying back with sunglasses and a smoke. The playful innocence of the setting, with its planets-and-stars blanket and toy-filled space, contrasts with the weariness of maturity.
